Question by laura m: what does it take for a disabled person to get a sidewalk put in the complex shes living at in a power chair?
I am living in a down stairs appartment and it has no asscess for me to get out in a power chair.it does however have a walk way but not acceable for a power chair.so, im needing help to find resourses in helping me to get help to have a suitable sidewalk put in for scooters and or power chairs.

A lot of complaints to the owner of the complex. or you get a hold of the mayor of the city and complain. Just complain to the important people

I have very limited mobility and I really want a way to be able to get around without someone helping me all the time. Last week I saw one of my old buddies that had one a power chair he says that he got it through medicare so I want to know how i can do the same

Your doctor is the one that has to help you here. See him, because what he’ll have to do is write you a prescription to get a power chair if he feels you really need it. Medicare does not cover the chair for all diagnosis.

Today we are going to talk about our Heavy Duty power wheelchair, the P301 Gemini. The P301 is a powerbase rear wheel drive wheelchair. Rear wheel drive meaning the chair consists of two sets of wheels, 14″ foam filled drive tires and 9″ foam filled casters. The P301 features a unique suspension system with a 450 lb weight capacity. A fully charged unit has a range of up to 20 miles depending on terrain. Next, with the help of my assistant, I would like to demonstrate how to remove the captain’s seat and batteries.
