Today we are going to talk about our Heavy Duty power wheelchair, the P301 Gemini. The P301 is a powerbase rear wheel drive wheelchair. Rear wheel drive meaning the chair consists of two sets of wheels, 14″ foam filled drive tires and 9″ foam filled casters. The P301 features a unique suspension system with a 450 lb weight capacity. It also features an aluminum footplate with flip-up height and angle adjustability providing various comfort positions. A swing back mount comes standard with the unit along with a Dynamic Shark joystick allowing the user to enter or exit the chair with ease. A programmable controller provides a wide range of selections to suit the needs and demands of different users. Height and width adjustable arms and 22″ wide reclining and swivel capable captain’s seat with an adjustable head and backrest allow the user to adjust the unit to their comfort needs. The unit is powered by two 12 volt 22NF batteries and includes a 5 amp off board charger. Charging the unit is as simple as plugging the charger into the joystick and flipping the switch. A fully charged unit has a range of up to 20 miles depending on terrain. Next, with the help of my assistant, I would like to demonstrate how to remove the captain’s seat and batteries. I also needs best manufacturer of electric wheelchair and please suggest me the prices of electric wheelchair. I don’t mind how much because I need this wheelchair.

one of the best is permobile it is also one of the most expensive and there are any number of good companies and not so good out there. I don’t know how you plan to pay for one, most people go through their medical insurance or pay out of pocket, either way your best bet is to go to an assessment center of some type which looks at your current needs, balanced against your future needs and then tries to get a custom fit wheelchair that is going to do the job it was designed for.
Most assessments consist of at least one session to see what what the patient needs are and to find out through what ever means’s necessary the patients needs are. Once this has been established and everyone is at the same page the process begins. Once a chair has been oredered thed its a matter of waiting for the funding to go throught or if the process is paid for already and it has been delivered a tech will check the wheel chair and make sure it is working as intended and then spend how ever much time is needed for you to learn the basic operations of the joy stick and the buttons on the finger touch pads of the wheel chair. The tech will spend what ever amount of time seems necessary for you to become comfortable with your new wheelchair If it is a power wheelchair it will take more time to master the operation so that your friends and neighbors feet at toes are not targets for your new found freedom.
It takes a fair amount of mental acuity to operate a electric poweerd device and not everybody can drive one safetly because a power wheelchair for a big guy like me for exaample weights in at close to 300 lbs buy itself. I have been in a power wheelchair since 89 .and am intimately equantied with the knoleledge and challenges that come with the responsibility of owner ship. Using somebody local to you by going through a local wheelchair representative you can do all the paperwork necessary and use them as your choice of care providor in teturn of any maintenance issues that come up at a later date.
